Registering to Vote
You can register to vote online with the Department of Elections, or you can download a voter registration application and send it to your local registrar’s office!
Please note: The deadline to register to vote also applies to updating your voter registration address.
Voter registration closes 22 days before a primary or general election.

Voting in Person
You will need to bring proper identification to the polls. A list of acceptable forms of ID can be found on the State Board of Elections' website

The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot by mail will be 7 days prior to the election. The deadline to vote absentee in person will be the Saturday prior to the election.
